Beautiful Bows

It has been a little crazy lately with J getting ready to start pre-K, the wedding, and other things. I took cupcakes to J's school for his last day. He starts his new school Tues. Aug. 12. You get a tuition cut if you volunteer for 40 stewardship hours. You have to take a class on how to handle kids so that is what I'm doing tonight at 7pm.

Mom and I have been working on rehearsal dinner arrangements and just about got it squared away. Craig and Nichole got the invites yesterday. She texted me a picture and I think they are absolutely gorgeous. I don't even remember my invites!!

I ordered Sophi some bows for the weddings and one of them came in today. Check this picture out.

Toot lovin the bike helmet.

My little disaster

Here is a pic of Tootie with her do rag on. She loves stuff on her head.

I went shopping yesterday and got the kids some fall clothes. I bought J a Buzz Lightyear and Woody set of pjs so I got Tootie an Elmo shirt to make it even. She HAD to immediately put it on even though it is long sleeved. She went right outside and jumped in a mud puddle. So while she was taking a bath, I was talking to Nichole and little miss decided to dump the dirt from my flower pots into the sink onto her. Again with the mud. It's a good thing, I had the day off yesterday.

We took 2 separate cars to breakfast and Eric took the kids home while I shopped and got a pedicure and manicure. It was awesome. I got home just in time for supper!

Jack and Jill went up the hill

Soph's bumbo

The amazing Bumbo seat

So Sophi is trying to sit up but just can't quite yet on her own and her high chair is too big right now. It is so messy having her drool and eat in her bouncy so I bought a bumbo seat and it is my best baby investment. She eats in it, plays on her tray, and sits in it in the living room just watching the kids.

Sorry about the quality again. These are still shots from the video camera; I'm still waiting for the diagnosis on my Nikon.

The hot tamale train.

Nichole won tickets to "So You Think You Can Dance" for Oct. 4 taping. Guess what? She asked me to go with her!!!!!!!!!!!! Wooooohooooo. I'll be blowing my train whistle with Mary Murphy. I'm so excited. I'm such a big fan. She knew I would love it. This beats the Kenny Chesney concert. So she submitted a funny photo of her dancing to a radio show. This was the photo of her at an 80's party last year of her doing the chicken dance.

The bridesmaid dresses are in!

My bridesmaid dress came in and I love it! The color is so pretty. For those of you who can't be at the wedding here is a preview. No makeup since it was so early.

Batkids video

Batkids

The kids were hilarious. They wanted to dress up and play this morning. (I'm so lucky that they love to play together...don't get me wrong, they fight over toys and stuff but all in all they are best buds). So they found the Batman costumes. J had to wear the 3T one with muscles that came to his knees and Tootie was happy wearing the size 8 that made her look like spaghetti arms and legs. J would tell Tootie to hit him in the chest, and she would, and he would pretend to go flying across the room. Here's them watching "Max and Ruby".

The flowergirl dress

Nichole's mom, Margie, found the flowergirl dresses we were missing but they only had a 4T. I was sooooo nervous because she is such a little skinny butt. She had on 24 mo clothes today. By the grace of God, it fits. So here are some long awaited pics. Sorry for the quality, remember that my camera is in the shop!

Baby bows

Well, I worked yesterday and today and then ran out to search for dresses for the girls and myself for the weddings. I found the perfect dresses for the girls for Jared's wedding and Sophi's dress for Craig and Nichole's. I also got my outfit for Jared's wedding. I forgot that all the summer dresses are going out for fall/winter clothes so I was in a panic today. I got so excited for Sophi's bow/headband. I love huge bows on babies so I found one to match her dress and Craig/Nichole's colors. Since my camera is sent in for repairs here is a pic of Sophi's bow. Hopefully, I'll have a loaner camera tomorrow until I get my Nikon back.

Tip: Whenever you let a man watch 3 kids for a weekend, it is guaranteed your house will be TRASHED so I will spend the next 3 days cleaning.

Funny Story: I came home from work last night to 2 little kids yelling "Mommy, Mama, Mommy" which I love. I noticed my 2 year old was wearing a red skort outfit, kitty cat pj bottoms and a fancy white sweater that covers her shoulders and arms from her Easter dress. I laughed and said someone dressed herself today. She said no. I asked Eric about her outfit and he told me that he dressed her. OMG!!! He told me it was chilly so he had her put pants on and didn't realize they were pjs and he couldn't find any other jackets or sweaters and that was in her closet. I prayed to God that I hope he never has to dress my children for school. 2nd tip: don't let daddy dress the kid, especially little girl!!! Are you listening Aunt Les and Cara? LOL

Look who is trying really hard to sit up

Roses

Here are roses I cut from my Rose garden, today. They are so pretty and smell so good.

I took Tootie to the doctor yesterday and luckily no infection, just sinus drainage from the change of climate. He said she should be back to new in a couple of days. I asked about her speech, and he said that as long as the people who see her on regular basis (i.e. Me, Eric, and J) can understand 50% of what she says then she is doing perfect, at 3 we should be able to understand 75%, and at 4 we should understand everything. She has 30% more vocabulary than most 2 year olds. So all that was reassuring.

The Family Reunion

Here are some pics of the family reunion. I like the pictures of Becky holding Sophi and Tootie napping on Uncle Sean.

Big Red Cars

The Electric Slide

The Favorite Dragon Ride

The Motorcycles

Sophi's One on One Time

The soapster had some one on one time with Grandma and Grandpa during the Six Flags outing yesterday

Another Happy Ending

That mile out to the parking lot seems a lot farther when you are on your way out and when your 2 year old insists on sauntering along herself

Splash Kingdom

The waterpark wasn't as much fun. You had to rent a tube to down the slides and lazy river and we weren't sure the kids would like it. Toot didn't even want to get in. J played on the slide for awhile. Les and I put one foot in and decided it was too ice cold for us. It was too picked to find chairs close together. They had an enormous wave pool that J and Eric went in for a while and then the lifeguards drug out some guy "drowning" and performed CPR. It ended up being only a test but everybody else thought it was real. Sean and I went on one of the oldest roller coasters. It had been around since 1927 and the ride lasted a long time. My throat hurt from screaming so much. Eric, Sean, and I managed to squeeze in a bunch of adult rides. I rode the Scrambler after lunch, probably not too smart. Poor Aunt Les couldn't even ride the Ferris Wheel. Things were sooo expensive. A hot dog, fries, chicken fingers, fries, and 2 small drinks was $26 and 2 beers was $23. Insane!

Wiggles World

The kids had fun in Wiggles World. They loved the tea cups and really it got it spinning and the Big Red Cars. This ride goes SO slow! Eric said it reminded him of his worst nightmare for the passing lane on the interstate.

Looney Toon Adventures

The kids favorite rides were here!!!! They loved the motorcycles, the semis, and their all time favorite the dragons. They would pull the handle and the dragon would fly. It took Tootie a few rides on this one to figure out the handle. They can actually ride all these by themselves and they did NOT want Mommy and Daddy.

Storyland

In Storyland they had all kinds of little houses and Barber shops, etc. Just there size

Six Flags at the Great Escape

Well, Sean and Les and J, Toot, Eric, and I went to The Great Escape up by Lake George and Saratoga Springs, yesterday. It was awesome. It was Tootie's first real amusement park that she could ride the rides. and Boy did she love it!! She could ride all the junior rides and met the height requirement. J could pretty much ride everything with a couple exceptions. He rode the scary coasters with Uncle Sean and Daddy. He even had me ride a roller coaster with him and we sat in the front! The picture of him, Eric, and Sean is of them taking "The Plunge" his first roller coaster. I couldn't get closer because I had the stroller, Tootie, and Pregnant Mama with me.
