Tootie's Preschool Graduation
I know it's been a while since I posted but school is winding down and it has been crazy with field trips, projects, programs, etc.
Sophi is so cute. She is a very easy 2 year old. She is always in a good mood and greats me with "Good Morning, Mommy" every mornings. As soon as we get to Vickie's she sits on the floor, takes her shoes off, and lines them up by the door. Her vocabulary is soaring and she loves to see new things and she just gasps and says "Wooooooowwwww!"
J graduated Kindergarten with perfect marks. He scored 100% on spelling and Math tests the entire year. He never missed one! He is looking forward to his summer but is afraid he will be "bored". Nikki, a friend of mine, and the kids's daycare director will be watching them here at the house with her 7 year old, Braden. It will be perfect. Soph will stay go to her Vivi's (that's what she calls Vickie) thru the summer. The big kids will get to go to the zoo, swim lessons, VBS, library programs, so it will be good for them to get to do things.
Now for Tootie Roonie. She graduated preschool tonight and cannot wait to be in Mrs. Josek's 5 day pre-k program. Her best friends, Addie and Nora will be in her class. So she is super excited.
This is a funny story. The office manager, Deanna and I are good friends. She called me at lunch and said "We have to do something about your daughter and wonderwear (that's what Tootie calls underwear)" She was joking with me. But Tootie still fights wearing underwear. It is a battle everyday, we've tried every kind of underwear, leggings, tights, short. Nothing works, everything gives her a "wedgie". Today, when Mrs. Hughes wasn't looking, Tootie ditched her undies in an unknown location. Later as they are practicing graduation she flashes the crowd. Thankfully, I have a backpack for her with spare ones in it, since I know her so well. So Nikki was able to talk her into them. Wheeeewwwww! That will make a great story when she is a teenager.
The pics are from tonight. She did not want to be on stage to sing but ended up talking to Addie and getting her diploma.

The PT Cruise
Well, the PT Cruiser ride that Jackson and 4 of his friends bought at the auction has come to fruition. The kids went for their ride to Culvers on Wednesday. After school, Mrs. B took the girls first and left them with Mrs. McCune while I stayed with the boys. We danced to the Dinosaur Rock and Mrs. B had the kids close their eyes and hold out their hands. She then presented them with their new sunglasses. She also had shirts made for each of them with a picture of the PT Woody with the class Dog on top and 2011 on there, too. They cruised on over to Culvers where they ordered whatever they wanted to off the menu. J had fries, a cheeseburger, and a vanilla dipped chocolate cone. Then Culver's gave them 2 balloon animals and a brand new basketball and hat. They had such an awesome time!!! I was so glad he was able to get to do that and feel so special. Then he went on to win his soccer game.
End of School Year
Well it has been crazy with Spring activities and too bad we are having July weather! Whew, the house was 84 when I came home yesterday.
Well Jackson has had his 10th perfect spelling test and his last day of school is May 27th. They had their field day which included lots of water games, today. The kids had a great time and came home with a little tan. J's field trip to Lieber State Park was cancelled due to the thunderstorm last week, but Mrs. B was able to reschedule a field trip to the Indiana State Museum for next Wednesday. He is really looking forward to it. His best bud Brecken turned 6 last weekend and J got to go to his Lego party. They had a fabulous time. He has one week of soccer left, and I'm a little relieved. Running around to get to practice and games are is wearing me out. He is an amazing little athlete. He scored 4 out of the 6 goals at the last game, the coach asked him to sit out for a while so some of the others could get a chance to kick the goals ;) He is super speedy. If you can believe, he has hit a growth spurt and is now in a size 8!
Tootie is still her very independent self! However, she adores Mrs. Brown, who will be her babysitter this summer, also. So when I want her hair done really cute or socks on her feet, I have to take it to Nikki so she can accomplish these things in the morning. She can identify all of her colors and shapes and is doing very well starting to write her name "Caroline" She loves her artwork right now. She could color all day!
Soph Bug still loves her Vicki, who she calls "May Ma". Vicki has been doing art projects with Soph and the other girls outside during the day and Soph can't wait to run up to me when I get there to show me her artwork. She has soooo many words now that it is so cute to hear her little sentences. For instance tonight, she said "Mommy, no, me get that". I think she has been hanging around Tootie too long! LOL! She is very attached to her Elmo and Abby right now. She climbs up into her car seat all by herself and she loves to ride Jackson's Big Wheels.
Work is great. I still love it and have lots of projects right now so it is very busy. I bought a different vehicle. A 2008 charcoal gray Honda Pilot with the 3rd row seat. I'm adjusting to the lack of trunk space, but love that the kids can all have their own space and I get MUCH better gas mileage
