Birthday at Nene and Pops

It was a busy weekend. We had a fun time at Nene and Pop's, today. The kids got their first round of trick or treating in.

Birthday Weekend

On Saturday, J's party was at Hoosier Gymnastics. It was a blast...26 kids showed up...Ahhhhh!!! It was a lot of action...that's for sure. But J had a great time and so did his buddies. And the girls had friends there too. J had a super nice birthday. He got more presents than Christmas. He LOVED his cake too. It was a great time. I think I was more worn out than the kids.

Halloween Parties

Happy 7th Birthday to my Baby!!!

I can't believe my sweet baby boy turned 7, today!!! Where did the time go????
Well, he had a great birthday. He had his bday party at school yesterday where he took cupcakes and Capri Suns in. Mrs. Drury gave him 7 spankings and embarrassed him. LOL!!! Then we had the Halloween parties at school today. My friend, Patti and I organized the 1st grade party. We had a craft where the kids made a bat puppet, cookie decorating and 4 game stations : 1. A gift from Mummy where they dress themselves like mummies, pumpkin bowling, Black Cat treasure hunt, and a witch broom relay. The kids had a blast. Tootie's preschool class got to dress up and parade thru the classes, she was so cute. However, the room moms for her class let them pig out on candy. Needless to say, she was on a 4 hour sugar high and completely grumpy.

Then, we came home. Brad took J to Cold Stone Creamery to pick out any ice cream cake he wanted. Luckily, he wanted a Reese's Peanut Cup cake...Yummy!!! Then he got his new bike (with the hand brake...just what he wanted) He got to ride a little before dark. He got a Spongebob puzzle book, Superhero giant coloring book, Mario Cart Tshirt, and a lite up Spiderman guy. Along with lots of birthday calls. Thanks everyone, for making his day so special. He also got to stay up until 9 so he was excited.

Tomorrow he has his friend party at Hoosier Gymnastics. I was thinking maybe 18 would come. However, 26 have now RSVPd yes. So it should be interesting with 26 7 yr olds. I'll keep you posted. :)


Sunday, we head to Illinois for J and Pop's joint birthday party with the family.

Then Trick or Treating on Monday....whew...what a busy weekend. I have lots of pics and hope to get them posted tomorrow night. I'm entering labels for the schcol program tonight and am headed to sneak a piece of ice cream cake :))

J's Halloween costume came in and he was so proud that he had to run outside and show it off to the neighbor boys!

Pumpkin Works

Nene and I took the kids to Pumpkin Works and they had a blast riding the clown train, the corn maze, and the corn playground. They also got to pick out their pumpkins. We were walking past the talking pumpkin...Petunia and she heard me talking to Soph and Tootie so she knew their names. So when they walked by, she said, "Hi Sophi" and "Watcha doing Caroline". It was great! Tootie immediately got behind me and Soph was mesmerized and kept talking to the pumpkin. We had a great time. Thanks Nene!!!
