The kids and I came home this last weekend for both the great grandmas birthdays. Eric and Mark went to the Brickyard 400. They either go to the Indy 500 or Brickyard 400 every year (or try too).
The kids had a great time swimming in the pool. We got there early Friday afternoon and went swimming. Even, Caroline was walking over to the pool whining to get in with Nini and J. Then when she got in, she only wanted her feet in and to be held higher than the cold water. J on the other hand, was perfectly fine for hours with his water wings on. Saturday, mom, dad, and I took the kids to Charleston and got a pizza and took it to Morton Park. They had a ball. Jackson has absolutely no fear. He climbs to the top of the highest slide or firepole without thinking twice about how far down it is. Dad and I took Little C into the toddler area. She had Dad in stitches. She would walk over to the slide and work forever to climb up the slide backwards and then slide down and just sqeal with delight. Then, she insisted on walking all the way to the car, which everyone else was waiting patiently wondering if we were going to make it before dark.
On Sunday afternoon, we had the grandparents for lunch which was delicious. Mom fixed an awesome rump roast in brown gravy. 15 pounds and there was barely any left and we had 9 1/2 people eating. It was a nice time to see everyone. Then everyone came out to the deck to see Jackson swim. Poppie was watching him while us girls cleaned up the dishes. He got busy talking and looked over and J had taken his floaties off and was floating around in his Spiderman tube. Pop told him to put his wings back on but he responded "that's okay I don't need them". Uncle Craig came up on Saturday night also and swam with J. He kept saying "Wow, go under again Craig, and again, and again". It doesn't take to much to entertain. He started calling Craig "Bruce the shark" after that because he was so good at swimming under the water.

The forgotten 4th of July story
Oh my gosh!! I can't believe I forget to tell Jackson's funny story from the fourth of July. We were at Mark and Staci's and all 4 of us adults were playing Corn Hole. (which is like toss across with bean bags and a big bullseye board). Anyway Jackson wanted to go for a bike ride around the cul-de-sac, but Morgan didn't want to go. So Jackson went ahead and three houses down their was a little girl sitting outside. He rode over on his bike and rested his arm on a parked car right there. You could here him asking her name, how old she was, did she live there. It was hilarious. Pretty soon he comes running over asking me if Kennedy could come play. He starts yelling down the street "It's okay my mom said you can come over, come on, don't be shy". It was priceless.

Just to Catch Up
I know it's been a little while since I've caught up the posting. The kids are great, and I have made it through my first trimester. Eric is soo relieved. Just a few nights of "night sickness". Nothing like what I had with the other 2. Caroline is walking so well. She has even tried to take off running. She tries to say the words you are saying. She even said "Carla and Phyllis" (which is very hard). Eric said on the way home from preschool yesterday she was sooo cute. She had her finger in her mouth like "Hmmmmm" and she was just looking around quiet as a mouse taking everything in. Her hair has really come in and gotten so curly. Jackson loves to answer the phone; we have to stop him before he divulges the family information. Eric is still working on the plumbing in the bathroom, which has kind of come to a halt for now since he is sooo busy at work. Mom and Dad have almost finished the apartment. They have drywalled and painted and replaced some cabinets from all the water damage. I think they basically just have to get the carpet laid.
We stayed home on the 4th, especially since Caroline is in bed by 7pm. I fixed Salmon steaks on the grill, corn on the cob, mustard potato salad it was soo good, red, white, and blue jello salad, and a key lime pie for dessert. We watched the fireworks over the look. On Sat. we went to Mark and Staci's and had a great time playing cards and Corn Hole. We cooked out and the kids played in the sprinkler and sandbox. Morgan and Jackson fell asleep on the couch watching "Charlotte's Web" about 10pm. So much fun!!!!!
I'll post new pictures this weekend since it is long overdue!!!!!

Mr. Fix It
I was talking to Eryn and found out that Madelyn had been in the bathroom and was sitting on the toilet while yelling for her to come in. Dean was also bugging the tar out of her. Then she hears a big KEERRTHUDDD and comes in to find Madelyn on the floor and had ripped the towel bar out of the wall along with some drywall. Eryn was furious and Madelyn swore she fell off the toilet and hit her head on the towel bar and it came out of the wall. 2 hours later, she asks Eryn if they could buy some monkey bars sometime because that would be fun.
So along those lines. Jackson came in last Friday and told me that the toilet overflowed but it was okay because he fixed it. I went in the bathroom to find that he had plunged it, alright. There was wet toilet paper everywhere!!! But he was proud of himself. Later, he answered the phone and told my work that I couldn't talk on the phone because I was watching "Max and Ruby". Then he came out to the garage to tell me "Ought oh, Mom Jaxy (our cat, who is outside by the way) made a mess". He said he was trying to reach a Capri Sun and Jax jumped in the fridge and knocked out the whole pan of Cherry Delight on the floor. RIGHT!! He later that day got grease all over his new 4th of July shirt while "fixing the grill"!! What a busy day that was.
Caroline took 6 steps to me yesterday and has been walking around since. She will stand in the middle of the living room floor, stick her butt in the air, gradually bring her arms up until she is standing straight up with her hands in the air. Then she will stand there like that until her legs give out and she falls over. So stinkin cute. She is getting 2 of her 12 month molars. No fun for night time.
Other than that, still trying to decide whether or not to stay part time or quit when I have the baby. Some days I think it would be great. Other days, I think "No way" I can't handle the 3 of them.
