Hat Shopping
Well, it was a cold day but that didn't stop the kids from playing out in the snow twice today. Tootie was big into dressing up with all her jewels and hats today and even made me clean the upstairs in her disco hat. She had a hat on Soph, also. J beat his Wii Toy Story game. I just cleaned again and did laundry, laundry, laundry (10 loads to be exact). I do 2 loads everyday and wonder how I end up with so much. But I did have a lot of cleaning rags and washed all the blankets, bed linens, etc. Potty training went pretty good today. She actually requested to wear her underwear. Keep your fingers crossed.

Dancin Monkeys
Mom had a hard time finding new footy pjs for J since he is in a size 6. But he loves the footy pjs. We later realized the only ones she could find were ones like Tootie's. Now everybody has monkey pjs. They kept saying they were all twins. So funny!

Sophi's Birthday Party
We headed to Gig's today for Christmas/Sophi's first birthday party. We had a great time. Craig couldn't be there since he was sick and considerate enough not to expose the kiddos. But he was missed. Nichole, Nene, Pop, Gig, Cindy, Larry, Cara, Ryan, and Hanna and us Saupp's were all there. We decorated her highchair, had LOTS of presents, and she ate a HUGE piece of cake and 2 scoops of strawberry ice cream whole! We thought for sure she would get a brain freeze. But no weird faces! Her new favorite thing: CAKE! She got an entire spring/summer wardrobe which is great, a "Hello Kitt" motorized 4 wheeler, Green Kawasaki 4-wheeler (you can never get enough riding toys!), savings bonds, some really cute toys including "Violet" the dog by Leap Frog which is awesome. You plug her into your laptop and download her fav songs, color, food, and her name. It tells her name in all the songs and when she talks and even spells it for her. The kids have their tags and Soph has her Violet. It was a great day and of course, went by waaaaaaay too fast.

Now THIS is a happy birthday girl
Soph has been trying to latch on to Tootie's sippy cups but because she is my baby, I didn't want her to give up the bottle yet. I broke down and gave her a sippy cup for her birthday and she adores it and doesn't want her "ba ba". Makes me so sad but I'm glad she transitioned really easy.
Sophi's big day
Well, it wasn't a productive day. But Soph got a frozen yogurt, her favorite dinner of Spaghetti O's, and her first Brownie for dessert.
I worked on making her tiara and flowers for her birthday cake for Sat. today.
It was raining and the kids couldn't wait to get outside with their umbrellas. As you can see, Toots didn't keep her hat or gloves on for very long.

Another Dress Up Day
It was imaginary day again at our house, today. The kids love dressing up! Grandma Jo sent Sophi the cutest "Marie" from the "Aristocats" sweatshirt and she was "Miss Kitty" today. Here are some pics. Tomorrow is Soph's big day. I'm fixing a Princess tiara cake for her birthday party on Saturday. I made a tiara out of fondant today. It took me a couple of hours but was so much fun being creative.

I can't believe my baby girl is going to turn 1!
I took some 12 month pics of Sophi yesterday for fun. These really show off her true personality and I could spend all day just kissing those chubby cheeks.

Happy Birthday Aunt Les
Ok staying at home has my dates all messed up. I swore today was the 16th!!!! Sorry Aunt Les. So we are pretending today is the 16th and I am editing my post date and time. HA!!!! Hope you had a great day new Mama!! P.S. I had so many great pics from Sophi's christening and since my computer crashed this is the only folder of pictures I can't find them anywhere on my laptop. I'm sure I have them on my backup disk at the bank in the lock box but just know that some of my fav pics are missing from this slideshow.

Dancing Machines
The kids were such a hoot, yesterday. They could not stop dancing. Even Sophi was grooving around. It was so funny. They love that song "I Like to Move It" from the movie "Madagascar". When that song was over J said lets listen to "that shorty got low" song. Not that that song is quite appropriate for my 5 year old to listen and dance to but this time it is what it is. Watch as he dances with Sophi and gets her low at the "Shorty got low, low, low"
Happy Birthday Grandpa
This is a day late but since my computer crashed I had to go to the safe deposit box to get my external hard drive to retrieve my pictures. Grandpa Saupp's birthday was yesterday Jan. 12. Happy Birthday, John!!!

First Day on the Market
Well my computer crashed on me last night. Wishful thinking allowed me to think I could plug it in and turn it on this morning and it would be fine. Not so much, so my wonderful husband is accessing my partioned hard drive to recover my recent pics. I have everything backed up but hadn't backed up the Christmas pictures or movies so he is having success so far. Wheww!! I am being told to do this once a week. I really wanted to post the before and after pics of the house but I will have to do that tomorrow when I have transferred everything over to the other laptop. Anyway, I took these over the past couple of days.
The realtor took pictures today. The group of realtors from Carpenter are touring tomorrow and our open house is Sunday afternoon. Wish us luck!
J was back to school today, which he was not thrilled about. I bribed him with a haircut this morning and he went for it. Tootie has been missing her "ba ba" in the worst way. I transitioned her to a big girl cup and for the past three days she has only wanted it at nap time not bedtime. So one day, I'm hoping she will wake up and not miss it. Still working on potty training. Funny the only time she is gung ho about it is at 10 pm wellllll after bedtime when her other siblings are sound asleep. She also only enjoys reading "Rachel Ray" and "Car and Driver" on the potty. The lady at the barber shop asked her what she was doing and she had a Times she said "Well, I waiting and weading". They both decided to dress up so she dressed up as a topless dancer with a tutu and Easter hat and J was Captain America. I asked her why she took her shirt off and she said "Well, I hot" Go figure it was 25 degrees outside.
This is a pic of Soph eating her first ice cream cone and her being my little artist. Didn't she do an awesome job coloring Mr. Crabs. Ha! J was happy to allow her to "look and not touch" his artwork.
Tootie fell asleep with her legs crossed. My camera battery was dead so I charged it for thirty minutes and she still hadn't moved. I straightened them out after the picture. I can't imagine the Charley Horse that would cause.

Sophi's Reaction to Oatmeal
This video doesn't do her justice. She has this reaction to the first couple of bites of oatmeal where her eyes get real big and she rolls her eyes, then she closes her eyes and does her sour face and shakes her head. I love it but can't ever catch the whole thing on video. I give her oatmeal every morning just for the entertainment. Plus you get to see first hand what chaotic mornings with meltdowns and drama are like at my house!

The kids sledding at Nene and Pop's
This is hilarious. Tootie is face up laying on the sled and J is on top of her face down with the orange hat. Eric is driving the four wheeler.
Tootie Dancin to Hannah Montana
I finally uploaded videos from the video camera all the way back to J's birthday.
Winter Days
The kids were so excited to get so much snow. I believe we are up to over a foot and it is still coming down. The wind has died down so that makes it better. That darn drifting on our flat farm land around the Midwest makes driving a bear. It took Eric 2hr and 30min to get to work and 1hr 40min to get home. Yuck!! Then he had to hand shovel our entire drive so he can get the GTO out tomorrow. The kids loved every second of being out and making snow angels and sledding down the hill. When they came back in they wanted hot cocoa and to color. Poor Soph was feeling left out so I handed her the Tadoodles. I ended up removing the crayons after she tried eating the blue one. The kids were trying to show off their red cheeks in these pics.
Mom was informing me I was slacking on the blog. Sorry, everybody. This darn house goes on the market this Monday!! Woooohooo! So cleaning fridges, touching up paint, and keeping the kids at bay to keep them from breaking, scratching, and grunging things up has been taking up all my time.
