Well, today was J's first swim meet. He was a little nervous and I was alot nervous. He practices with the 8 year olds but I thought he was going to swim with the 5 year olds. Nope, he swam with all the 8 year olds. He looked so little compared to those boys, but he loved every minute of it. Since he swam with the older kids, we had to stay for the whole meet which was almost 3 hours. Tootie and Soph were not so happy. Toots got hungry and thirsty and Sophi didn't want to be held for 3 hours, but overall, they did very well.
J swam in 3 events. His relay team placed 2nd in the 100m Freestyle. He was 2nd leg in this race. Then he placed 4th in the individual 25m Freestyle, and his relay tied for 5th in the 100m Individual Medley. He got 3 ribbons. Everytime, he got out of the pool from a race he walked over to me and said "Did I win?" He had a blast and can't wait until his next one.
