The trouble with old houses
Well, we had a mess last night. I was doing summer cleaning in the basement, getting my canning supplies ready and noticed the bottom of the water heater was rusted out and water was leaking everywhere. When I took a shower last night, I hollered at Eric to go downstairs and take a look. When he saw the hot water heater, he happened to hear water leaking. Well, water was gushing under the house. The tile had a crack all along the base of the shower and water had been leaking for who knows how long. Soooo....We went and bought the tile for all around the new bathtub in the materbathroom so Eric can get that laid so we have a tub while he rips out the floor of the shower and puts a new liner in the bottom. Then we wanted to get a point of use water heater and realized that our Circuit Box is maxed out and we will probably have to have the electric company come and put a new main line with 300-400amps in. Yuckkkkkk!!!!!!!! Seriously, this Money Pit is going on the market next spring. And it will NOT be a fixer upper!! 1990's and newer only! The good thing about this is getting going on the master bathroom again and poor little Tootie will have a bath her legs actually fit in.
