We had a great time in New York!! We arrived Friday afternoon and had REAL pizza with John, Joanne, Sean, and Les for supper. Then on Saturday we went to Eric's cousin's Restaurant for Gram's 90th surprise birthday party and she WAS surprised. We all had a great time visiting. That evening we went over to Sean and Les's for a BBQ with Les's 2 great friends, Cor and Rose from the city! And Sean's family, too. Then we went to mass and had our beautiful, sweet little niece, Cameron's baptism, which was great! Les had an amazing lunch catered with sausage and peppers, homemade pasta hats, a chicken pasta dish, a fabulous walnut salad, with Chocolate Godiva and Vanilla Cannoli Cake with strawberry filling for dessert. It was amazing and we were all stuffed. We came back to John and Jo's house for dinner with John, Cheri, and John John.
Today we were a little nervous because our first flight was delayed 35 minutes which made us get to Newark 5 minutes before our flight to Indy...But it was delayed, too. We ended up getting home only 30 minutes late since we made up some time in the air. So it was fine. The weather was nasty and rainy and hailed over at Mom and Dad's.
Mom and Gig watched the 3 kids at our house for the entire time, which was so AMAZING. I'm sure they were extremely tired. Mom even ventured into Indy to take J and Caroline to Brecken (J's best friend) birthday party. The kids sure will miss them. I've already heard "Well, Gig and Nene did" about 100 times. LOL!
Fantastic time and thanks to everybody who made it possible!!! We couldn't ask for a better family! We love you all!
