Oh how time flies

I know it's been awhile. Gosh I didn't think it had been 9 days. It's a little busy with work. It's Spring Break this week, so Mom is here watching the kiddos for the week. Yay! They have had a big time. As a matter of fact, Tootie fell asleep at 6pm for the night. I have three really long days this week with meetings from 8-4 on Tues, Wed, Thurs. Work is great, just really busy. These are pics of the kids modeling some of their new spring clothes and accessories that NeNe and Gig bought them.

Sneakin Around Corners

One pic is of Tootie sneaking J's DS and hiding around the corner so she could play with it. J and C were outside enjoying our lovely 70 degree weather today. Sophi has a cold so I tried to keep her in out of the wind, today.

Last week was my first week at work and it was great! I love it. I work on a team with 4 other people. 3 programmers and 2 of us nurses. I am learning code and programming right now. We build the documentation system for all of Clarian's ERs, which there are 18 now. My first project is the new hospital Saxony in Fishers. John and I will build it from scratch by Dec. 1st. On Friday, we all went to a luncheon at 11am and stayed until 3 and then we all went home. I wish every Friday was like that.

The kids are doing great and were big helpers this first week of work. Soph loves Vicki and dove out of my arms to Vicki everyday so she could play with her Jordie, Demi, and Mimi. She loves that they all cater to her every desire. Her brother and sister don't cater to her like that at home. LOL! J and C love daycare, also. They get to play in the gym before and afterschool with all their little friends for a little while. Miss Tootie started taking her lunch since she is my little picky eater.

J got another 100% on his spelling test. That's perfect on all 6 of them. He had a perfect report card also...mastered all skills and only needs improvement on listening and cleaning up his work station....go figure, he is such a boy!

St Susanna Auction

Well after MONTHS of planning, it all came together, tonight. What a fun time! This was St. Su's 19th annual PTP Auction. We generally make $70,000 for the school during this one event. It is $65/ticket and this pays for your meal, cocktails, dessert, and one entry into the $10,000 Reverse Raffle. We also collected donations from over 600 businesses. We have things such as overnight stays, tanning packages, grooming packages, foursome golf expeditions, birthday parties, etc. We have half of the banquet halls with baskets that we have put together of these items. Unfortunately, I lost out on the Monkey Joes' birthday party for Tootie, I also lost out on a Ballerina basket for Tootie, I did win Mom and Dad the Overnight package to the Casino Aztar, though! Woohoo! My big purchase for the night was J a ride in the PT Woody with Mrs. B to Culvers. You see Mrs. B advertises for months about her ride to Culver's in the PT Woody Cruiser. On Friday, she had the PT Woody decked out with a large white dog with a St. Patrick's Day Hat strapped to the roof, with a Shamrock stuck to the grill. You can imagine all the kids hollering "I have to win that ride" One of those kids would be my son! Everyday, I hear about riding in the PT Woody. Well, tonight, my friend Jill and Stacy M (Zoe and Holden's Moms) we got together and were bidding for all 3 of them to ride together. Well, Mikey's Mom and Dad had no limit on what they would pay for Mikey to go. We ended up in talking Mrs. B to taking 2 rides, one for 3 boys and one ride for the 3 girls- all for the small price of $1000 total for all 6 kids! Whew!!!! We were all standing guard next to the bid sheets. The PTP reps all made theme baskets and these were auctioned off. Patti and I made 3 large baskets of "I'm Not Bored Anymore" We had games and gift cards for all ages. We also made a kilned plate of the kids's signatures with the Kindergarten year. Our basket went for $300. Kinderbear from last year was auctioned off at $500...whewy. Lots of good stuff. Hopefully, the numbers will come back better than last year. It was sooooo much fun, though. Can't wait for next year, again. Gotta go set the clock forward...Yuck

Grump Bugs after a busy week

Well, it has been another busy week. I went to the Employee Health Services for my pre employment physical on Tuesday and then volunteered out at the school for the rest of the afternoon. Our big auction is Saturday! This is our large event that raises a lot of money for our school. Last year the auction made approximately $65,000. This allows for certain scholarships, teacher supplies and room money, money for big projects like ovens for the cafeteria, etc. It is a huge project. I am on the database committee and our chairperson, Wendi, bless her heart, is up many nights working the database. Wednesday, since I had the girls, I worked at home all day editing a lot of the donation bid sheets. Last year we had approximately 600 donations. We sell 500 tickets to the auction at $65/each. Each ticket also buys you a chance at the $10,000 Reverse Raffle.

Today, I ran downtown to have my TB skin test read and got my clearance form then headed to the school for a volunteer day in Kindergarten. I got to be in J's room all day, which is such a delight. I love to hear them sing and praise each other. This is my favorite class in the whole school to volunteer in. The kids are so sweet and innocent. I love every minute! They invited me to ride on their imaginary roller coaster, today and I got the privilege of putting their "Stations of the Cross" books together. They will be doing "Stations of the Cross" every Thursday throughout Lent.

J had a great reading day; he reads with such great expression. Tootie made a crazy dinosaur hat that she wore ALL day. Sophi made St. Patrick's horseshoes at Vickie's.

I was finishing a project in Mrs. B's room right at pickup time. Tootie was still in the gym with her class when the fire alarm went off. An 8th grade science project went south. Therefore, I jumped up from my seat. Grabbed J and headed to the gym. The kids were all being evacuated outside. I grabbed Tootie and helped get all little daycare kiddos out. No one had coats or backpacks and we were cold waiting on the firetrucks. We ended up going over to the church waiting for clearance. The cars were really backed up on Hwy 40. It was a mess, parents wanted to get out of their cars and get their kids but we had head counts done and were trying to keep track of all the kids. What a bad time for a fire! It was all fine about 4pm, and it wore the kids out even more.

After all that, Jackson and his friend Jacob were asked to do a video scene in the school auction video. They had to do sad faces! It was so funny to watch them. This video has all original music with lyrics to fit events and kids/teachers from the school (It's really funny and great)! There are pictures of events throughout the year and video clips. The older kids got a green screen and video editing software, so they have all these neat effects. The money goes to the technology department which affects pre-k through 8 for computers and software so J and Tootie do benefit from it. The dvds are $15 so if you want to see J and Tootie on their school video, email me within the next couple of weeks and I will get you a copy. Last year's dvd is $10.

Happy (soon to be) Friday!

The pics are from the mess I found that the girls made when they crunched my blush and blue eyeshadows. Sophi had vaseline in her hair and Tootie was covered with a whole jar of Vicks! Nice mess to clean :) Oh well, at least they are girlie girls with the makeup. I love it!
J and Soph were snuggling while Eric and Tootie had a night out together.

Taking the Hill

The kids were sailing down the hill, today. It was a riot. Here is a video.
