Christmas at Nini and Pop's

What a great time! We missed Nichole, though. She was in Boston with her parents, brother, and sister. So glad she got the opportunity but it wasn't the same without her. We wanted to play cards on Sat. night but Mom and I were so tired and Craig had to go back to Shelbyville and let Remy and Buster out. His basement ended up flooding, also. Mom and I struggled with heartburn and insomnia. The kids were so excited and had mountains of presents. Caroline and J had so many moments this weekend. There is a video I will upload later of J racing her while she sits in her baby's little stroller and she just squealed with delight. It was so funny. Craig and Dad worked a while setting up the big screen. Dad got so tickled at J. Apparently, he got a gift and his reaction was "What the Hell, man". Then he looked around to see if anyone heard him. Dad thought that was hysterical.

Learning new things

Here are some cute pics. Mom taught J how to do dishes, did Tootie's hair before the Dailey Christmas, and they both learned to be little gift elves.

Christmas at Gig and Pamps'

We went over to the Dailey's for Christmas on Saturday. It didn't seem like Christmas. It rained 2-3 inches and was 60 degrees with horrible wind. Cara and Ryan had to leave early to go back to Chicago because they were getting rain in their basement and had to survey the damage, and Holly couldn't make it in on Saturday because the weather was so bad north of Chicago. The kids had a great time. Cara and Ryan got the kids a lot of books; which is good because I need some new reading material and Caroline's first Tinkerbell overnight bag. J got a cool Spiderman tent that he has been begging to sleep in the past 2 nights. Aunt Cindy and Uncle Larry got them a Max Lucado Dvd and J a cool kid's physics set that he had out today. They got so many nice gifts from everybody. Gig got Tootie a butterfly princess dress and she looked so cute; Daddy put the wings on upside down but he's learning.

The funniest thing. All of us got bundles of 1 dollar bills from Gig and Pamps and Caroline went over and grabbed Pop's. Well she threw dollar bills all over the floor and would pick them up and give them to Ryan. She didn't want to see him go. It was so funny.

Puppy Pics

The puppies will be 4 weeks later this week. Here are some new pics. They are such little fatties. 3 of them have their eyes open, now, but they are all still crawling. Mom got Buddy and Mellow new doggie pillows and lots of canned Alpo, so they are living like royalty. Here are some new pics. One of them, Tootie is kissing him. Buddy has been babysitting while Mellow goes out. One of the pups, has started sleeping with him. They are such a little family. It is sooooo cute.

Christmas Day

What a wonderful Christmas. The kids were soooo excited. Tootie would say "Ohhhhhhh" and jump up and down and J could not use his inside voice he was so excited. He woke up at 2 am to use the bathroom and came running in telling me Santa had been here and we needed to go see the presents. I convinced him to go back to bed. They ended up getting up at 0830. Much better. Tootie loved her buggy from Grandma and Grandpa. I would have to say that was her prized posession. All she wanted to do was push that and her Vacuum from Uncle Sean and Aunt Les around. She also wore her ruby red slippers around all day while pushing her babies. J loved his Spiderman guys, Dora video from Sean and Les, and Optimus Prime from Uncle Sean and Aunt Les, and I think we have already read all the books. Thanks to everyone for such a great Christmas!! I'll show pics from this past weekend tomorrow.

Christmas Eve

The kids were wound up on Christmas Eve. So excited for Santa. Eric had to work and the weather was horrible getting home; the kids and I made cookies and more candy. Then, when Eric got home we went to church. Here are some pics of the fruits of my labor helping decorate the church.

12th Day of Christmas Video...Moments I've been blessed with

MERRY CHRISTMAS

I HOPE EVERYONE HAS A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS WITH THEIR FAMILY. YOU WON'T SEE A NEW POST FOR A FEW DAYS, NOW. BUT I WILL HAVE SOME GREAT PICTURES BY FRIDAY I HOPE.

Eric had a 3 hour drive home. We had so much ice it took him hours to get home from work, tonight. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better, if not, I guess he will be calling in on Christmas Eve.

New Puppy Pictures

Well, I worked Sunday for one of the girls I work with. I got a big lesson on dog breeding. Dani, one of the girls I work with breeds Golden Retrievers, and they are cute. So, anyway, I never knew there was so much to know about breeding. Well, Mama Mellow needs to be on vitamins, so I'm supplementing cottage cheese and formula to get her Calcium, when we wean, I have to keep Mellow away from the pups while they eat their food except to nurse once a day while her milk dries up, I have to water down the food because they need dry food to stimulate their GI track, and I need to try to give them away one at a time so Mellow won't get depressed. So much, I was informing Eric, the one who was sooooo excited to have puppies, his comment to me was "Well, good luck with that". She also told me their gestation was 63 days not 4 months like I was thinking. This brought us to the conclusion that due to the shorter gestation and the neighbors getting a new Beagle, and the markings on the pups, that they are half Golden and half Beagle instead of Lab. So they are smaller.
