It's the Streakin Bandit

Recovering

I know I haven't blogged for awhile. I have had a touch of pneumonia and bronchitis and felt like I am on a death bed. Mom came Wednesday for the day (I don't know what I would do without her!!! :) ). Then, Eric had to take off Thursday morning so I could go to the doctor and get ALOT of antibiotics. He worked a night shift, bless his heart, and took care of the kids Friday morning. I'm feeling better. At least, the fever and lightheadedness is gone. Now I just have to get rid of the cough and awful sorethroat from the coughing. Poor Mamma is sick with Bronchitis, too. Good grief, who gets this stuff in July!!! Especially, when the weather is so beautiful. Evenings in the 60's and daytimes in the 80's.
Today, I left the house with Eric. We bought our first ever tractor mower. Our Poulan wasn't working with our large yard. It would scalp and we had to replace the blades 4 times. But our amazing grandma and grandpa Dailey had given us our last 3 mowers! Eric researched mowers for the past several weeks and that is all I heard about. We had to go all over Indy today and to 4 places before we bought a Husquavarna 23hp, 48" deck, hydrostatic mower! Woooohooo! Eric had his heart set on a Cub Cadet by I am a huge Husquavarna tractor fan. It turned out we got the best deal with this one! Yippeee. Eric mowed the whole lawn in like 45 minutes. Awesome! We got 10% off since we are almost on the last part of the season AND Eric had to go back to get the book since Lowe's forgot and then he got all the way home and they forgot the key. He called the manager and WhaLah! She offered another $200 off for our inconvenience. So we got almost $400 off total! It was like winning the lotto.

J and C leave for Mom and Dad's for a 4 day hiatus! They are taking the kids to see "Despicable Me", swimming, going to a new park, and Pop mowed off a little campsite to go fishing. They have been beside themselves with excitement! Me and Soph have some little errands and are looking for our Mommy and Me time.

After bathtime tonight, J insisted I spike his hair again and it's a little long right now. He just got caps for his cap gun at the store and saw Eric driving by the window. Before he even put any clothes on. He bolted out the door to get Eric with the pop gun. It was a riot. One of these days, he is going to faint when he sees I posted this picture.

It was time for the kids to get new carseats so I ordered them and the girls couldn't even wait unti they were in the car. I ordered a new double jogging stroller off ebay so now I have to feel better so I can start running with the girls when the J man goes back to school

Tootie and Soph's Big Show

I have been holding on to this one since Saturday when I was cleaning. I looked around the corner since I knew the kids were playing with flashlights. It was so cute. Well, I have been sick, today. It was a struggle to get thru the day, but I made it and the migraine finally went away at 8pm. I can deal with the chest cold as long as the migraine stays away. J was my big helper. He even made me a bowl of cereal and brought it to me for breakfast. I'm sure I will feel much better, tomorrow.

Happy 34 years Mom and Dad!!

My mom and dad were married 34 years, yesterday! Sorry, guys I'm a little behind with the blog but at least I got to talk to you on the phone and my card made it in time, right! Here's a pic of the little angels for ya! They can't wait to come this weekend! We had to have a 10 minute itinerary talk to get them to bed. They are definately looking forward to the movie theater and popcorn, new toys, and fishing!!!

Baby Rambo ALWAYS kicks when he hears Auntie Chrissy's voice!

Hannie Reading

Here's Hannie Bananie reading her book and then reading it even closer. LOL!

Baby Boy Hendry's Shower

We had a great time at the Country Club for Nichole's shower. Most of my family and friends were able to make it. The food was great and Nichole got Sooooo much stuff! Craig is going to have to add on an extra room! LOL! We had a game called "He Said...She said" and it was so funny to hear the answers that Craig and Nichole gave. I got home later this evening and J and C were waiting for me and yelled "OUr Mommy's home, Yay, our Mommy's home" "Can we have a hug and kissy?" It was wonderful to come home to and now I can't wait to wake up my Soph Bug in the morning, just so I can hear those words "Hiiiii, Ma Ma"

Eric got heat exhaustion yesterday with the heat index of 110 and seven hours on the golf course. He ended up puking 3 times on the way home. Yuck! Did I mention he can't find his car key either! Ooops! BUT they parred 6 under! The winning team was 9 under par.

The Well Oiled Machine

Well, I took J to get his school uniforms at St. Susanna's yesterday. He saw a bunch of his old friends and I visited with several of my mom friends. We are so blessed that my dear friend Staci will be teaching 5th grade there and can pick J up after school if I need it and just to know she is down the hall makes me feel so good.

Well my little man, who started out a size 5 regular at the beginning of Spring. Needed to try on 4 pair of pants for us to find he is now a size 7 slim! He has shot up this summer. I can't believe it! Miss Toots is in a 4 because of the height and Miss Soph is now in a 3T. Good gracious where does the time go. So anyway, J was getting very tired of trying on clothes. I made him try on the long sleeve polos and then an oxford shirt. And by that time, he came out and said, "they fit Mom". I said, "Uh I back in and put them on so I can see please". His response was "I'm over this" then he comes out with the oxford on over his t-shirt. Now I see how boys turn into men who hate to shop! I was also scolded by him for poking my head into the boys bathroom to see what was taking so long! LOL! Some think that spending money on uniforms for school is silly, but I'll have you know that I bought all of his Summer/Fall uniforms at the used sale and only spent $22 and I bought all winter apparel and accessories at the new sale for $100. I remember going shopping for school clothes and I know my mom always spent well over $250 on my clothes. So I think it turned out great.

Eric is in Ohio at his tournament today. I talked to him a little while and his team finished 6 under par. So he was happy with that. I don't think they placed or won anything. Today, I managed to mow the lawn, clean the house top to bottom, pack the car up for the shower tomorrow, clean out the Tahoe, do the accounting, take the kids out for a dinner of pizza (yes, I took all 3 by myself, but they were great for me, tonight anyway), fertilize my flowers and water, bathe the kids, and put them to bed, and now I am ready for a shower and time to crash.

Tomorrow is my turn! Wahooooo! I get to spend all morning with my mom and dad and then to the baby shower to visit with all my dear friends and family and come home to a spotless house (at least I hope so) Yippee.

Here is J in one of his uniforms. He was so excited because he wanted a belt like Daddy's and I quote "Not one of those geeky magnet belts, Mom". So when we got home he had to try the belt out with all his pants and shorts. So stinkin cute!!

Sophi's 18m Visit

Well, we had a "Not so fun" 18 month visit for the Sophi Bug, today. It turns out that Sophi has a bad Upper Respiratory infection that started last Saturday and had gotten to where her expiratory breathing phase was delayed. So she got put on breathing treatments every 4 hours, antibiotics, and she got an ear infection so she has ear drops, and to top it all of she still had to get her 2- 18 months shots. She is feeling better this evening after her 2nd treatment.

On the upswing. She is 35 inches long!!! Which is in the 100th percentile. She is taller than J and C at this age. She weighs 26 pounds which is in the 50th percentile for her weight.

Soph started saying "Tickle, tickle" today when J tickles her armpits. It is hilarious. J and C both cried while she got her shots and her first breathing treatments. They were beside themselves, the nurse actually had to take them down the hall to get suckers so they could calm down. When they came back in, they gave Soph a group hug and they each gave each other fishy kisses. I made sure Soph got 2 lollipops from the doc! One for each shot! And J and C each got one for enduring Sophi's pain!

Eric is golfing in a tournament on Saturday in Columbus and it has turned into an overnight from Friday. So that means I will be watching Twilight movies all weekend :)

I got highlights tonight and it was nice to get away while my Soph Bug was napping. She took a 4 hour nap, woke up when I got home this evening at 7:30 and went back to bed at 8:30. Now I know she is not feeling well.

Back to the Grind

Well, we got back into the routine today. We stayed in Columbus, OH Saturday night and finished up the last 3 1/2 hours on Sunday morning. I finished all the laundry and putting things back together, yesterday. Then, I took the kids grocery shopping, Yuck! this morning, which is a 2 hour project. I finished up Nichole's diaper cake today and will post pics after the shower. Other than that, it was a pretty boring day.

I had ordered new costumes off of ebay for the kids. Tootie wanted a new fairy costume and J a Hulk costume. They were so excited to have them here when we got home yesterday they pretty much won't take them off for anything.

Sophi learned to say "No No No" to J, today. It was pretty funny. She is also saying "Ought Oh" whenever the kids get into trouble.

Before I forget, not to ruin the surprise for Nichole but I'm hoping she is too busy this week to read the blog. Everyone is bringing a children's book that has meaning to her shower and we will explain what it means to us. Well, my dad's favorite book growing up was "Lucinda the The Little Donkey". It is out of print but Mama and Mom are searching for it. I think Mom located it on ebay books. Anyway, the little donkey does not obey her master and there is a part with crossing the train tracks. When my dad was little he used to tell Mama "Skip that part, skip that part" because he was afraid the donkey was going to get hurt. My mom's favorite book was "The Little Red Hen" which was one of my favs and I have it for my kids. It is soooo funny how we all remember our favorite books from when we were little. I love this!

This picture of Sophi is so funny. She was in the sun almost the whole way on Saturday. I gave her some of Tootie's glasses and she felt weird in them. So she just took out one of the lenses and was fine. Hilarious.

One word that would describe each of my kids right now. Jackson is "Determined" Tootie is "Independent" and Sophi is very "Serious"

Cammie loves Aunt Chrissy's fishy face and I can make her smile and laugh anytime!

More Vacation

Well apparently, the weather is much better here considering I talked to Mom and heard what the heat index was at home. It was around 90 in NY today but no humidity. Nice breeze, no AC needed (Uncle Sean would totally disagree ;) ). Well, I took a hiatus this morning and found my way to the nail salon and had a manicure, pedicure, and massage and then I might have took a stroll over to Cafe Florentine for a panini and Italian pastry. Then more time in the pool this afternoon. Sophi Bug is starting to love the pool and waterwings and Tootie feels like such a big girl when she walks in the pool. J likes for us to call out a dive while he is running up on the diving board. All 7 of us were in the pool this afternoon. Then we headed to Uncle Sean and Aunt Les's for dinner.

We had Cam all day while Les was at work and I forgot how much fun it was to give them their bottle, sing, and put them down for their nappy.

I think Gram and Cam were worn out!
