Glorious Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend. Sean and Les flew in for the baptism. They had a rough time of it. Due to our long tornado season here in the Midwest, their trip was very difficult. They could write a book about all of the things that happened. They both had to work on Friday, so when they arrived at Albany, NY (1 hour from their house), their flight kept getting delayed. They had already missed their connecting flight in Chicago. They still didn't know when their 9:30p flight left if they would make that final flight from O'Hare to Indy. They made the 9:30 flight to Chicago and had like 15 minutes to connect to the final Chicago flight. They had to fly stand-by and the guy gave Sean a white piece of paper with their names on it and said "this should work". All of the restaurants and vending machines were closed and pregnant Les had to use the bathroom which was closed for cleaning. When they arrived in Indy they had to wait out on the runway for the lightning to stop which took about 25 or more minutes. Then their luggage was lost and still in Chicago. And the rental car place was closed and they had to rent a whole new car from Hertz. They finally got to our house about 3 am. Being the dedicated Godparents that they are, they never gave up. I'm so glad because we would have been so disappointed. Jackson had been asking me for days when Uncle Sean and Aunt Lesley were coming. It was a great visit; we just wish they could have stayed longer
