Mamma had called a couple of weeks ago and asked Leslie and I to bring the kids over one day so Pamps could see them all together. Well, it worked out that we went over on her birthday. So Leslie baked a cake and Ava was already in IL so I met Leslie and the 5 of us went over. The kids were having a wild time!! Even Sophi was crawling all over place. She had lots of visitors Us, Dad, Ron spent most of the day since it rained, Steve came over for a while, the Wilcoxins came over for a while, Jim came in and stayed for a while, and Wade came over for a couple of hours on his lunch break. Sheryle came over after work. Lots of birthday visitors and lots of attention for the kids. Mamma even told me to sit down and eat while it was hot while she fed Sophi for me. Leslie fixed J and C's plates. Seriously, it felt like my birthday!! Pamps even let Ava paint his fingernails. What a great grandpa!!
We went over to Gig and Pamps in the afternoon to visit for a while, too. We got to walk around and look at Gig's giant marigolds and the kids walked over to the orchard barefoot and ran around the pine trees. By this time, the storm had cleared off and it turned out to be a beautiful afternoon. The kids had a ball in the gliders.
I have to say it was a quiet ride home for me and Leslie. The kids didn't make it out of Hume before they were passed out.
