1st Day of Disney

What a fabulous day!! I have to admit, I was a little sad about leaving Soph bug with Nene and Pop and have her miss out on the fun but I talked to Mom today and she is having a ball playing with everything she wants and not having it taken away and she has the great grandmas to swoon over her! She will be spoiled on the attention when we get home.

It was a wonderful travel day. The kids are old enough that they were a breeze. We left the house at 10am and I stopped at CVS and picked up a couple of things. Then, we stopped at Mark and Staci's house and our absolutely WONDERFUL friend took the day off and took us to the airport! We got there at 11am and ate at Champs. Then the kids went to the bathroom and they watched the planes take off for about 10 minutes then it was time to board. Might I add that airport security was soooooo awesome to our kids and let our family skip over everyone else into another line for just us and we had our own security guy who was patient and let us take everyone's jackets and shoes, laptop, camera, and Leapster out. Then they shuttled us past everyone else and we got to board the plane first. It was awesome! Pretty much everyone has been wrapped around Tootie's finger today. Everyone in airport security, stewardess, random pizza guy at our resort has given her a little trinket here and there and commented how adorable she is. Our flight was 1 hr 45minutes and the kids colored and played the Leapster the whole way. Not a peep. The 3 little boys in front of us screamed the whole way. Tootie asked what was wrong with those little kids. LOL! I totally empathize.

We arrived at the Disney counter and they put us right on the shuttle and told us our bags would arrive at our hotel room later. We got to Disney in 30 minutes and our resort Port Orleans French Quarter in 45 minutes. The kids were in awe over the pool and water slide. Eric and I were in awe of the 72 degree and sunny weather!!!

We walked around and got our "keys to the world" then hopped on a boat and headed to Downtown Disney where we walked passed the Lego Land. J is standing in front of a Lego Transformer and in one of the pics there is a huge Sea Serpent in the river made of Legos. We ate at Captain Jack's for supper and headed back to the room where I unpacked. The kids were totally overstimulated and could not slow down.

When we got here I had a couple of baskets made by Disney Floral and at the front desk. J got a Toy Story basket and Tootie got a Minnie basket. The cards were from their Disney Friends. So J told his new little friend "Will" that he is going to Mickey's house tomorrow because he invited him and gave him a big present when we got here. So far it is the most magical time ever and the kids eyes stayed lit up all the time, which makes it the most magical time ever for me!

We have breakfast with Lilo and Stitch at 9:30 and my goal is to get up at 7am and run before anyone else wakes up. I hope that actually happens.
