Well Nichole suggested that we had water voles and Grandpa suggested a form of rats. I believe they are right the water vole is commonly known as a water rat. Check out the pic in the middle of this page on this link. Wow! Now it says they are protected by National Wildlife. They are not protected on my lawn!!
